Yep, you might have seen this one before. Doesn't matter. Just thought I'd post it for all the people having turned veggie recently ánd currently trying desperately to convert everybody else as well... Mind you: personally I believe the world would be a better place if we all (in the western world, that is) ate a lot less meat. Here, at Moerestraat 54, we try to. But without spreading the green gospel too much. And vegetarian or not: it's just still a great ad.
BTW: I thought that my posting rate would go up during the summer vacation. It hasn't really, so far. I guess my subconscious is reminding me of the fact that vacation comes from the latin word 'vacare', which means something like 'to be empty'. I guess I'll just go along with it. I had, for example, thought of writing an entire essay on the doping affair surrounding the Tour de France, on how tragic it is for cycling, on how blind the public is at times, on how much we like to be blind and simply enjoy the sport, on how unfair it is that riders have stopped being treated as normal people and/or employees and can be found guilty without anything being proved beyond a reasonable doubt, on how, on the other hand, difficult times ask for difficult measures, ... And so on. But I have decided that there has already been enough said about it. And the weather is far too nice to sit behind a computer, anyway. So I'll just go cycling and enjoy the summer. I hope you can do the same! Oh, and before I forget: The Hip were great at Cactus, and Buffalo Tom was brilliant.

Love it. Definitely appeals as a meat-lover although I am eating much more fish and vegetarian stuff these days in my bid to keep 'the temple' from falling down.
Glad you enjoyed Cactus. We ended up having our own mini-festival in the grounds of Castle Smith but I don't think it was quite the same

Probably not. But if you enjoyed it, that's what counts I guess, no matter where you are... Still: there will be other editions next year and the year after, and the year after, and...

I hope you are enjoying your holiday. I have missed your commentary around the 'shere. BTW, we are headed to Belgium in the fall, early September.

It's not just holiday - Joppe is in hospital (has been for over a week - some kind of food poisoning or salmonella infection), so I have not been near my pc a lot lately. But when he gets out (hopefuly one of these days), I will definitely take that holiday. :-)
Anyway: when you are in Belgium, let me know! We'll go for a drink (coffee, water or... something stronger of course :-) ). If that's ok with you, of course?

That sounds bad. As a parent too, I know you all must be very concerned. I will let you know when I am coming.
